TERMS

Terms & Conditions

1. Seller and contact

HomeBook is the software and service described on this website. Customer support is available at homebook.support@gmail.com.

The seller's legal name, business ID and registered address are provided at checkout and in the purchase confirmation.

2. The product

HomeBook is a digital home-record application for documenting information such as renovations, maintenance, purchases, receipts, photographs, dates, notes and other home-related records.

The exact features included in each package are described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

3. Licences

HomeBook is sold as a one-time purchase with lifetime use of the purchased version, subject to these terms and applicable law. There is no recurring subscription fee for the standard HomeBook and HomeBook Family packages.

The HomeBook package is intended for one active device. HomeBook Family is intended for use across multiple active devices as described on the pricing page. A licence is personal to the purchaser and may not be resold, sublicensed or shared with unrelated third parties.

A licence may be transferred to a replacement device where reasonably necessary to replace the purchaser's own device, subject to reasonable measures intended to prevent licence sharing or abuse.

4. Your HomeBook content

You retain ownership of the content you create or import into HomeBook. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to use any photographs, documents or other material you add to the application.

Because HomeBook is designed for local storage, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We cannot recover HomeBook records that are lost because of device failure, accidental deletion, loss of access to a device or failure to maintain a backup.

5. Updates and compatibility

We may release updates, security fixes and improvements. Features may change over time as the software develops. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the product functional on supported operating systems and devices, but cannot guarantee compatibility with every future device, operating-system version or third-party service.

6. Prohibited use

You must not reverse engineer, redistribute, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit HomeBook except where applicable law expressly permits it. You must not use the website or software to interfere with its operation, circumvent technical protections or infringe the rights of others.

7. Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the website before purchase. A purchase is completed when payment has been successfully processed and the order has been accepted. Payment may be handled by a third-party payment provider.

Taxes and other charges, if applicable, are shown before the purchase is completed.

8. Digital delivery

HomeBook is delivered digitally. Delivery instructions, download access and/or a licence may be provided after successful payment.

9. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory rights that apply to consumers under applicable law. Consumers may have statutory rights relating to digital content, conformity and remedies in addition to the terms stated here.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, HomeBook is not responsible for indirect losses or for loss of data that results from the user's failure to maintain appropriate backups. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Finland, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply to you in your country of residence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or applicable legal requirements change. The version applicable to a purchase is the version presented to the customer at the time of purchase, unless a later change is required by law.

13. Contact
